The Vauxhall
web site provides some history about Fulk le Bréant, whose arms are the
origin of the Vauxhall badge. [Nicholson] explains the association of this
company with Luton. This is where
Fulk’s Hall is located, and this is the name that morphed into Vauxhall. The heraldic beast is a griffin, which is a
half eagle and half lion.
